(CBSI), a full-service CPA firm dedicated to meeting the diverse tax strategies and financial needs of individuals, businesses, and trusts. With a career marked by expertise across diverse financial management disciplines, Steve has established himself as a pivotal figure in the industry.
Steve specializes in individual and business tax strategies along with QuickBooks consulting and training. His proven ability to organize and train client personnel ensures the efficient and accurate generation of financial information using QuickBooks accounting software. Steve is also renowned for his strategic acumen in designing and implementing comprehensive budget systems on weekly, monthly, and annual cycles, coupled with the production of insightful management reports to support informed business decision-making.
In addition to his leadership at CBSI, Steve has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Otterbein University, where he taught managerial accounting. He was handpicked to develop and deliver a prototype accounting and finance course tailored for McDonald’s franchise consultants, showcasing his ability to bridge theory and practical application.
Steve's career also includes a successful tenure as Chief Financial Officer for Salvi’s Restaurant Group/Winchester Farm, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, where he oversaw accounting operations, cash management, and tax planning for seven distinct entities. Prior to this role, he spent over six years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, ascending to Audit Manager. In this capacity, he directed consulting, tax, audit, and accounting services for a diverse range of privately held clients.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University, providing a strong academic foundation for his professional achievements. His exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and deep industry expertise continue to drive the success of Contemporary Business Solutions, Inc. Steve lives in Lewis Center with his wife Shannon and son Casey. Casey is an engineering major at The Ohio State University.
